Approach to Practice

Over the years, I have found that meaningful change rarely begins with advice. It begins with clarity. When people understand the forces shaping their situation, they are better able to make thoughtful decisions, respond more effectively to challenges, and continue applying that understanding long after therapy has ended.

My role is to help people understand how their situation operates so they can make thoughtful decisions—not only today but whenever new challenges arise.

Experience & Leadership

For more than twenty-five years, I worked within Michigan's court system while maintaining a private practice. That work provided a unique perspective on the intersection of mental health, conflict resolution, and family systems.

In addition to clinical practice, I co-developed and facilitated a state-approved 40-hour Domestic Relations Mediation training curriculum in collaboration with the Friend of the Court and the Michigan State Court Administrative Office. I have also provided training for mediators and other professionals, reflecting a long-standing commitment to advancing both the practice and teaching of conflict resolution.
